Methodist Boerne Medical Center
Despite its proximity to a major metropolitan area, Boerne views itself as quintessential “rural” Texas. What differentiates Boerne is its extraordinary population growth and its location bordering four underserved counties. San Antonio’s leading health system, Methodist Healthcare, sought to meet the medical needs of this growing community situated 23 miles northwest of the South Texas Medical Center. Wanting to “get it right” and be the preferred local healthcare provider, Methodist chose Cambridge to develop the first phase of its Boerne campus – a three-level medical building housing needed services such as imaging, radiation oncology, cardiac care, pediatrics, sports medicine, family practice and internal medicine. The subsequent addition of Boerne’s only full-service Emergency Room is exceeding expectations for patient volumes and customer satisfaction, and the campus is enhancing Methodist’s position as the healthcare leader for San Antonio and its surrounding communities.
